Data Dash was founded on a simple observation: there's a huge gap between what big consulting firms charge and what most businesses actually need. A $50M company doesn't need a six-month McKinsey engagement. They need a great dashboard, in two weeks, that answers the questions keeping leadership up at night.

That's the gap we fill. We bring the rigor and judgment of a top-tier analytics firm — but at the speed, price, and personal attention of a partner who actually picks up the phone when you call.

Every project we take on is led by senior practitioners. No bait-and-switch where you meet the partner and get handed off to junior staff. The person you talk to in your discovery call is the person building your dashboard.

"The goal isn't more dashboards. The goal is better decisions. Every line of code we write is in service of someone making a smarter call than they would have without us."

— Founder, Data Dash

Six principles that guide every engagement.

We turn these down clients who don't share them. Better to walk away than build something that won't get used.

i.

Speed is a feature, not a sacrifice.

A dashboard delivered in 6 months is a dashboard the business has already moved past. We move in weeks because the cost of slow is higher than the cost of imperfect.

ii.

Dashboards nobody uses are worse than no dashboards.

Bad analytics don't just waste money — they erode trust in data across the whole organization. We'd rather build one dashboard your team checks daily than ten that gather dust.

iii.

Numbers without context are noise.

"Revenue is up 12%" is information. "Revenue is up 12%, driven by your East region — but margin is compressing because of the discount strategy" is insight. We always deliver the second.

iv.

The best consultants make themselves obsolete.

Our goal is to leave you self-sufficient. We document everything, train your team, and aim for engagements that end naturally — not retainers that quietly never stop.

v.

AI is a tool, not a strategy.

We use AI where it actually adds value — forecasting, anomaly detection, natural language querying. We don't bolt it onto every project to look modern.

vi.

Honest disagreement beats polite agreement.

If we think your KPI doesn't measure what you think it measures, we say so. If your data isn't ready for the dashboard you're asking for, we tell you. No yes-people.

We're not the cheapest. We're not the biggest.

We're the firm you hire when you want senior judgment and fast delivery — not a flashy logo or a 200-person bench.

Founder & Principal Consultant · Data Dash

I've spent over a decade in analytics — building dashboards inside Fortune 500 companies, advising venture-backed startups, and watching firsthand how often great data initiatives fail because they're slow, opaque, or disconnected from real business decisions.

Data Dash exists because I believe the best analytics work happens when the consultant has actually sat in your seat. I've been the operator staring at a dashboard wondering why a number changed. I've been the leader trying to defend a decision without the right context. Every dashboard I build is informed by that experience.

If we work together, you'll get my full attention — not a salesperson followed by a handoff. That's the whole point.

Answers to what everyone asks.

How long does a typical engagement take?

Our most common engagement is 2–4 weeks for a sprint project, 4–8 weeks for a full build, and ongoing for fractional analytics retainers. We start with a free discovery call to scope the work and give you a fixed timeline before any commitment.

What does it cost?

Sprint projects typically run $5K–$15K. Full builds range from $20K–$60K depending on scope. Fractional retainers start at $4K/month. We provide a fixed price upfront — no hourly billing, no surprises.

Do you work with my BI tool?

We build in Tableau, Power BI, and Looker — the three tools that cover roughly 90% of the BI market. If you're using something else (Sigma, Qlik, Metabase, etc.), reach out — we may still be a fit.

My data is messy. Is that a problem?

Almost every client comes to us with messy data. That's normal. The first week of any engagement is auditing and connecting your data sources, and we'll be honest if we find issues that need to be addressed before dashboards are useful.

Do you sign NDAs?

Yes — happily. We sign NDAs before any discovery call where you'd be sharing sensitive information.

What happens after the project ends?

You get 90 days of free support after launch — bug fixes, small tweaks, and team questions. After that, you can either go fully self-sufficient with the documentation we leave behind, or transition to a fractional retainer for ongoing support.

Let's see if we're the right fit.

Free 30-minute discovery call. No pitch deck, no commitment. We'll listen, ask good questions, and tell you honestly whether we can help.
